Community Services

Local Lodge 63, with approximately 1800 active, retired and laid-off members, is committed to serving the communities in which we work and live. Our goal is to help our members or their family or friends with tasks that they may be temporarily unable to perform, or need a quick hand.  Do you need help with yard work after a surgery?  Home repairs?  Special projects?  Please contact us via email at local63cs@yahoo.com or submit the form below and we will try our best to help out.

Adopt-a-Highway
Watch for the signs!  Local 63 Community Service Committee members maintain a two mile stretch on the north and south sides of I-84.  The stretch runs from about 1 mile west of Rooster Rock, to one mile east of it.  Cleanups are required twice a year. If you are interested in participating, you must be at least 16 years old and there is a safety video required to be viewed prior to participation.  Contact Larry Jacobs at local63cs@yahoo.com for more information.

Great Time at the First Annual Guide Dog Dash!

Local Lodge 63 held its first ever Guide Dog Dash - Poker Run/Dice Roll on June 30th, 2007, beginning and ending at the Machinists Hall.  About 40 bikes came out for a sun-filled day of riding, raffles and bbq pizza.  Event t-shirts are still available while supplies last.  All proceeds go to Guide Dogs of America.
